I bought the Velbon ULTRA STICK V63D Ultra Lock monopod and tried it out to see how much it could reduce camera shake.
The first thing that comes to mind to prevent camera shake when taking photos is to use a tripod or monopod.
However, the only items I had before writing this article Gorillapod SLR-ZOOM and MTPIXI-ZOOM .
I didn't have a regular tripod or monopod.
As expected, I wanted something proper for each, so I bought a monopod first.

This time I purchased the Velbon ULTRA STICK V63D Ultra Lock monopod.

With a reduced length of 383mm and a weight of 532g, I think it falls into the relatively compact category.
Free head QHD-43D N is included.
This allows for flexibility in handling and stable shooting.
If you look closely, there is a spirit level attached.
The included shoe plate QB-54 is a little large to attach to the Canon EOS M3.
The battery cannot be replaced while this is attached.
Is there a smaller shoe plate that is compatible?
To use Ultra Lock, simply grasp the tip of the leg and twist.
All stages can be fixed/released at once.
The overall height is 1640mm, and the recommended loading mass is 3.0kg, which are sufficient specifications.
I tried to see how much I could reduce camera shake.
Now, how well can you prevent camera shake when using a monopod?
I went to Atsuta Shrine for the New Year's visit , I tried taking some photos of the torii gate.
I set the shutter speed to an unreasonable 1/8 (second).
Please keep your eyes closed for subject blur.
First, if you don't use a monopod.
It's shaky.
This is a very disappointing result.
And when using a monopod.
This is also blurry, but it's a huge difference compared to when I don't use a monopod.
You can clearly see that using a monopod helps prevent vertical sway.

When I used it for the first time, I felt it was a good response, so I would like to be able to use it properly again.
