Older versions of Internet Explorer no longer supported

Is this bad news or good news? Personally, it's good news.

Support for older versions of Internet Explorer will finally end on January 12th.

On August 7, 2014 (US time), Microsoft made an important announcement regarding its support policy for Internet Explorer This means that after January 12, 2016, only the latest version of Internet Explorer supported by your operating system will receive technical support and security updates.

The latest version of IE for each OS is as follows.

IE9
Windows Vista SP2
Windows Server 2008 SP2

IE10
Windows Server 2012

IE11
Windows 7 SP1
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Windows Server 2012 R2
Windows 8.1 Update
Windows 8 *Update to Windows 8.1 is required

Not only updates but also security updates will be stopped, so I think there is almost no need to support IE10 or earlier when doing web coding.
I think it will reduce the burden on coders all over the world, including me.

I would like to take this opportunity to rebuild my website and blog.
You can expect improvements in website performance, including page display speed.

Also, since IE11 often behaves strangely, I think it's about time to make a full-fledged switch to Edge.
