Will Twitter's ``140 character limit'' be lifted at the end of March?
Twitter's 140 character limit may be lifted at the end of March.
"When people want to tweet a long text, many people attach a screenshot of the text to the tweet. What if this is real text (instead of an image)? Text can be searched and highlighted. That would be more convenient and powerful. That's it.''──. US Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted this on January 5th (local time) in response to a report by US Re/code that ``Twitter will remove the 140 character limit for tweets.''

I am posting long tweets using screenshots.
That in itself is significant.
I thought the appeal of Twitter was that it allowed people to communicate quickly and concisely with the 140 character limit, but I guess that's not what the developers intended.
It doesn't seem like it will become difficult to use, but I have a feeling that the distinction between it and other SNS such as Facebook will become unclear.
Personally, it would be ideal to keep the 140 character limit and not count the number of characters in URLs and hashtags...
Well, what will happen...
